Understand that you will be investing in your own focus and concentration. Make sure you do not work in bed or other spaces of your home that are not meant for work because it is hard enough for your brain to understand that home is sometimes a place for work, not only rest.
Tip #2: Pick a Specific Niche
For designers, there are so many different niches to pick from, and before you start working on projects, you need to decide which niche is going to be your niche. This way, it will be easier for you to focus on building your own brand, choosing projects, and building up your experience levels.
Surely, picking out just one niche can be tricky and stressful, and some of the graphic designers simply tend to work on all of the projects that involve graphic designing. But focusing on a specific niche will give more advantages against your competition.
Just think about it. If you were to open a store of your own and needed a modern logo for your brand. Would you choose a logo designer that specializes in this niche and has experience of working with it every day or a graphic designer that only has generic knowledge about logos?
Tip #3: Build a Portfolio
If you want to make your graphic design profession your main income and make some serious money, you will need people to be able to find you. You can not live off from recommendations that your friends and previous customers bring.
Therefore for people to notice you on the internet, you will have to build a proper website and a portfolio to showcase your work and experience.
